New digs

Looks as if Milky Way can climb out of the puppy pool.  Didn't think they would manage it because they are so small.  But when you want to see the world and are adventurous I guess you find a way.  So out with the puppy pool and in with the crate.  I have put newspaper down on the tile and the crate sits on top.  So they have a cozy den to sleep in.  Hopefully, they will use the paper as their bathroom.  Also, food and water is set up.  I have the material up over the one side of the pen because their is a door there.  I do not want them to catch a draft.  They also have toys to play with!!

Milky Way has found a home

Last night Jennifer came over with her family to see Milky Way.  I warned her on the phone NOT to bring the children because she would walk away with a puppy.  Anyways, she fell just as much in love with Milky Way as her children.  So now she has a new family member and we have found a good home for one of our pups.  I am looking forward to lots of puppy play dates!!

Bandito and Milky Way

This morning it is a little rainy and dreary out there, but I am British and love this weather.  I decided to open up the puppy area and let Chica and Pepsi play with them.  What fun the pups had.  Pepsi, who is still a pup himself was playing and playing.  Snickie and I had to keep him in line so he wouldn't be too rough.  And Chica wanted them all to herself and got quite upset when Pepsi wanted to play!

We went by our professional photographer's and got some really nice pix.  Oh boy they are good.  Kelly really caught how beautiful Bandito and Milky Way are.  I thought I took good photos but I guess not.... lol.  When you get a professional who can catch the light in just the right way, or an expression on your pet it is amazing.  And Kelly makes it look so easy....

What is nice is that Kelly is very reasonable in her pricing.  It is so nice to have beautiful images of your pets or family.

Playing with Momma

We are two days off being four weeks old...  yeah!  Still very tiny but getting more active.  I changed their bedding today and opened up the pen.  Chica moved in right away!!  I caught some cute pix of them playing with their Momma.

Three weeks old today.

There really isn't much to say.  They are doing well.  Bandito is still smaller then his brother at 11 1/4 ounces.  Milky Way is 14 5/8 ounces.  I wonder if Bandito can make it to a full pound by a month!!  Not sure he can do it.

They are moving around a little more and I put them on a mat so they could give walking a go.  They were too cute for words.  So who is your current favourite?

Eyes are open!!

Today Bandito finally opened his eyes.  Five days after his brother.  I can't believe how tiny he is either.  Not growing very fast at all.  I will try and get better pix of both our boys as soon as I can.

Last night I was doing my last check of the day on the pups.... something was odd.  I picked Milky Way up and oh my gosh!!  He had eye balls!!!!  Bandit isn't going there yet.  Still tight shut as a clam.

Da Boys are 6 days old!!

They are nearly a week old.  Looks at those markings.  I am thinking Milky Way may be a smooth coat and Bandito a long coat.  Just have to wait and see.  Also, their faces are darker and I wonder how they will turn out.  Will they have a mask?  I see tan on their cheeks which is very nice.  Milky Way is two whole ounces bigger then Bandito.  But they are growing slowly.  I doubt the puppy chart will be accurate predicting their final size.. and this won't be the first time....

Happy Birthday

They are adorable.  Two little boys.  They are both around 4 ounces.

Where do I begin.  Water broke around 11.11pm. I was so excited.  Three hours later Snickie looked as if she had two sacks coming out.  And nothing much had happened.

I suspected she may be too small to pass them.  So I took her into the ER.  This ended up in a c-section and her being spayed.

These are my pets first, then my breeders.  Snickie's health and her welfare goes before my breeding her.  Also, she  belongs to my daughter.  So she is now fixed.

She is on meds and the sutures come out in 10 days.  Her nipples are inverted so it looks like I still may not get any sleep.  Most likely I will have to supplement.

I hope I am not rambling and make a little sense.  I am so tired from staying up the whole night and the worrying..... 

I just have to concerntrate my efforts on getting Snickie better, and keeping those pups healthy.
