Chica, Icaraus and coco

Chica loves our cats. It is annoying yet funny all at the same time. I feel so sorry for them. Icaraus is the brave one, he will stand his ground. He will take what Chica dishes out. Sometimes he will slap her. Coco is the scaredy cat. Chica approaches wagging her tail and Coco makes a mad dash across the house. Bad mistake. All the dogs then chase her down.

What does Chica do that is so terrible??? She runs up to the cat in question wagging her tail furiously and licks their face. And Licks and licks and licks. Until the cat slaps her or runs. Sometimes though she can be calm and lay on the bed with the cats. And that is nice.

Photography

We went to Kelly' s house today for a photo session of my puppies. It went very well. All the dogs were much better behaved then I thought they would be. And Kelly took the most beautiful photos. WOW. I can't wait to see the finished product.

While taking the photos I noticed a little blood on the pillow- Chica has officially started her heat. I am so excited. I can't wait. In two weeks she'll have her romantic rendezvous with Frostee.

Netbook skin

This is so cool. You can go to a website and get a laptop skin for your netbook, laptop, phone, Ipod etc. I used a photo of Snickie, the one with the angel wings, and made my own. It has now shipped. I am super excited about seeing it. I even put my website address on it, so when I'm drinking tea and using my netbook others can see my advertising.

I am not a professional photographer but I do like to dabble once in a while. And I do recognize good photos when I see them.

My Mum had a professional photo taken of our dachshund, Hexi, and it was lovely. I have been thinking of getting some done of my chihuahuas. My photos of them don't do them justice. They are much prettier in person....

I came across photos of my little Snickie on facebook. The puppy application has photos of her. She looks adorable. So I contacted the photographer and she agreed to send me the photos! Isn't that nice? I am going to use one of them for my netbook skin. I can't wait.

Pepe and Boy

It has been a busy week here in Florida. I have been helping friends with their chihuahuas and I think we are all pooped. Lots of new babies to be seen, and pups to play with. www. Floridachi.com has pups and so does www.chihuahuacrazy.com.

Karen brought her new stud "Boy" over and we had a little play date. Pepe and Boy really like each other. I was calling them porker and shrimp, mine being the porker. There is a month difference in their age, and they are different body types. But both are adorable.

So I hope Boy will come and play again. The socialization is good for both of them. And they really liked each other. They ran around the front garden having a great time.

Tomorrow Pepe goes to school for orientation. Hopefully, he'll get lots of cuddles!! I can't wait to see the reaction to him at the school.

tongues!!

I had a cat named Moose who would stick out her tongue just a little bit. Oh it was so cute. One day I showed my husband saying "ooh isn't this the cutest thing you ever did see". I touched it with my finger. What a mistake. She never stuck it out again.

Well, now we are present day. Pepe is sticking out his tongue.... just a little bit. AND oh it is sooooooooo cute. I have told my girls that under no circumstances may they touch that tongue.... that if they do, and he never sticks it out again THE WRATH OF THEIR MOTHER WILL BE UPON THEM.

The Pink Moon Chair

Katie, my daughter has a pink moon chair in her bedroom. Adult sized. She had a smaller one that died when teenagers sat on it. It takes up half her room but is nice and sturdy. She often wants me in her room to listen to her play her keyboard and the dogs follow me.

They love that chair. It is funny how small they look in it. But it is very compfy. We all pile in the chair, me and 3 dogs and listen to Katie play her new compositions.

The Lizard

Snickie, Chica and Pepe always want to go outside. I was thinking that my chis' have very small bladders indeed. Why do they want to go out so much???

Well, late last night I found out the reason why when a lizard came into our house. Via a cat of course.

My sweet little dogs went spastic. Chasing it all around. Trying not to get bitten... oh I was so hoping to get a pic of a lizard dangling from a puppy nose.

No lizards were hurt during the filming of this episode. lol.

cute Chihuahua purse

I went to the mall with my girls yesterday. Spending all our garage sale money. We went to Claire's Boutique and I found the cutest little coin purse. It has the cutest little chi on it. Apparently they sell quickly. But for $4.00 it is a great deal.

Puppy sitting

I was watching my friends dachshund, Ginger for a couple of days. I felt badly that she was over there in the kitchen all by herself. So I brought her over here. BIG MISTAKE. Chica does not like her one bit. Maybe it is because Ginger is a larger dog. Or because she wants to play all the time. I just don't know.

I put my doggies in their "room" and Ginger would go up to the fence. Ginger was so happy to see them. Chica went nuts. Barking and growling. In the end I had to put Ginger on a leash so she wouldn't go near their area.

After 3 hours I was pooped and walked Ginger home. Luckily she was pooped too and took a nice nap.

Pepe Le Pew

As you Know I got a belly band from figgy's chihuahuas. Well I have decided to put it on Pepe to get him used to it before it is needed. That way he will wear it with no complaints, I hope!!

As he gets older and matures he will start to mark his territory. I want to do everything humanly possible to stop this. It may be an uphill battle but I hope training and belly bands will do the trick.

Pepe didn't look so happy the first day wearing his band but he does look awfully cute in it!!

Puppy Playdate

Bambi came over today for a play date. I know, this week has been busy with doggie visits. When it rains it pours. And I love chi down falls!!

Bambi belongs to a friend of mine and is a wonderful little girl. Very sweet personality and looks to die for. A blue fawn with white markings and a mask. She is nearly 6 months old and is still small.

Chica was a pill. What a meanie. She would not stop growling. So, like all little naughty girls, she went to time out!!

Snickie watched mostly from the sidelines. Once in a while she would join in.

And Pepe..............Pepe and Bambi played and played. He chased her and vice versa. They had a little snack together. He even helped her find her bark. What an adorable couple they make. I can't wait for her to come again.

Puppy playdate

Mia came over to play with us. She hasn't grown much. I think she will remain very small. I guess we have to wait and see. Chica loves to see her daughter and I love to cuddle her too. Pepe and Mia adore each other. They play the most. Snicker Doodles is the runner up for playing.

Jogging

My husband likes to jog.
Well, chica is his new jogging buddy and she can keep up with him! (He jogs slowly and not so far when she is with him). She loves it! He gets the strangest looks from our neighbours. I guess they are expecting a larger dog!

Pepe Le Pew

Pepe has the cutest habit which seems to work for everyone. He goes to the feed bowl and takes one piece of dog food. He returns to a bed and eats it. Chica sits with him quietly. (very odd that she doesn't try and steal the food). When he is done he goes for another piece. AND Chica eats the leftovers. What a cute dog.

The Secret Spot!

Snicker Doodles likes to hide under the recliner. As she has gotten a little bigger, from when she was a pup, it is a little harder to get under there... but she does. I find bones, toys and other treasures that she keeps safe. It is her spot. Everyone knows about it....

Chica would love to get under there but she can't. Pepe can get under but when Snickie is there he has a problem. And he only wants in there when she is.

Playing Tug of War

Snickie has the cutest habit. She will get a toy and start to play tug of war with Pepe. When Pepe drops the item Snickie will pick it back up and wait for him to grab it again before she continues tugging.

Pepe will take turns playing with Chica and Snickie. Sometimes Snickie and Chica play with Pepe on looking.

Pepe wrapped himself up with the favourite of all toys..... a ball thingy that I attached to some fabric. They love wrestling with it. Somedays I drag all three of them over the tile.
